Thousands of people have already experienced the movement of A Praying Life—from reading the bestselling book by Paul E. Miller or attending a seminar at a local church.

This seminar is not for Christians who feel victorious, but Christians defeated in the trenches, asking… How do I focus when I’m distracted with so much to do? How do I pray longer than five minutes? How do I ask when I’ve tried it before and it doesn’t work?

Delving into our frustrations, we look at Jesus’ powerful yet simple teachings on prayer. We practice becoming child-like, patterning after Jesus’ own teaching and style of praying. We learn to ask our Father anything—with eyes wide open to the story he is creating in our lives. Further practical tools and helps are explained and demonstrated. Throughout the sessions people have time to pray, making real what they learned.

Meet Dave Miller
South America Coordinator

Dave Miller and his wife, Esther, spent four years mentoring and training church leaders in Chile before joining the staff of seeJesus as Latin America Coordinator. Dave, a church-planting pastor with the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA), originally visited Chile to do short-term construction projects, but he and Esther moved there to facilitate discipleship and help raise up Jesus-centered leaders in Latin America. The same passion that led the Millers to move to Chile ultimately brought them to back to Philadelphia to partner with seeJesus.

Having now taught Person of Jesus seminars in Spanish and English in Chile, Colombia, and the US, Dave is continually amazed by the level of interaction and engagement that grows out of the inductive format. Each time he teaches, Dave watches and waits to see people’s eyes brighten with the realization of Jesus’ love for them. He’s rarely disappointed!

Dave and Esther grew up in rural Pennsylvania but now consider themselves thoroughgoing city-slickers, having lived and worked in inner city Philadelphia for much of the last 30 years. But the sight of rolling hills covered in wheat and corn still stirs their hearts! Dave and Esther live in Philadelphia and have four kids, three sons-in-law, and seven grandchildren.

What People Are Saying

“The A Praying Life Seminar is the most practical training in prayer possible, yet it is rooted in biblical theology. I highly recommend it.”

Rev. Tim Keller, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, New York, NY

"The impact of the seminar continues to be felt here at Chessington Evangelical Church. In fact, we have been led on from it to write a church purpose statement, to re-shape our values and write a bold vision statement."

Pastor Gareth EdwardsChessington Evangelical Church, London

“The ripples this seminar sent through our community have been lasting and significant. Perhaps no more so than the renewal in uninhibited dependent prayer. For Australians who breathe the air of cynicism, a great number of us have been drawn back into prayerfully being a part of God’s story.”

Pastor Karl PacholkeChrist Community West, Brisbane, Australia

“Your teachings on prayer were the best I have heard. Most importantly, I have begun to pray more and more effectively. God is continuing to teach me about conversing with Him. Thank you for this precious gift.”

Bill Mauney, Elder & VP of Retail Management, Great Outdoor Provision Co.
