Once you have approval from your church
or organization to host the seminar, contact seeJesus.net
(215.721.3113) to arrange a suitable date when a seeJesus.net
seminar leader is available and no other church activities will
cause a conflict. |
|
Provide the necessary information to
seeJesus.net so that a custom bulletin insert for your seminar
can be done. A PDF of the insert will be emailed to you for printing
and distribution. |
|
|
Help get the word out by
announcing the seminar from the pulpit, distributing the bulletin
insert, mailing a letter to the congregation, and informing other
area churches. |
|
Recruit at least two volunteers to help
with the seminar. Their duties will be to setup and attend the registration
and book tables, take care of distributing seminar materials, help
with coffee & refreshments and final cleanup. |
|
Make arrangements for the speaker to
stay at a church member's home while there for the seminar. |
|
Decide which room best suits the needs
of the seminar. We prefer a casual/intimate setting for the seminar
so if you have a fellowship hall that will seat the number of attendees
expected this usually works better than meeting in the sanctuary.
Reserve the room if necessary. |
|
Several days before the seminar you will
receive a shipment with our supplies and books for the seminar.
Put them in a safe place so that they are readily availabe for the
volunteers when it is time to begin setup. |
|
Make arrangements to have a podium or lectern for the speaker,
a large flipchart with an easel, and at least two markers. A sound
system/lapel mic is only necessary when a large group is expected
or the room is unusually large.
|
|
Nothing else is required for the Seminar.
The speaker does not need a chalkboard, overhead projector or screen. |
|
- Make sure the volunteers have access to the supplies and books.
Set up should be completed no less than one-hour prior to the
time the seminar is scheduled to begin.
- Be prepared to open the doors and begin registration at least
45 minutes prior to the time the seminar is scheduled to begin.
- Have the meeting room prepared for the number of people you
expect. Tables or desks are not necessary, only chairs, benches,
pews or any other furniture to sit upon. The room should be
arranged for a lecture, with all of the chairs placed in rows
facing the front.
- Have directional signs placed at strategic points throughout
the building to assist the attendees is locating the seminar
room.
- Make sure the podium, flipchart, easel, and markers are available
for the seminar leader.
- Have the registration table set up where people can register.
- Have the book table set up for selling seeJesus.net

Ship the seminar supplies and books back to the
seeJesus.net office. All costs will be reimbursed.
