seeJesus Trainers

As a “virtual Jesus-fellowship,” six seeJesus Trainers work together to coach people to lead Bible studies and teach seminars. They are:

Monte Starkes

Monte is the Pastor of Discipleship and Leadership Development at Perimeter Church in Atlanta, GA. He is married to Amy and they have four children: Luke, Charity, Philip, and Anna Grace. Prior to coming to Perimeter, he was a missionary in Japan, and then worked at churches in Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina. He attended his first seeJesus conference in 2004, and immediately started to use the Person of Jesus study in small groups.

Bob Allums, Director of PrayerLife Ministries

Bob comes to us from Crossway Books & Bibles, where he worked since 2001, marketing the English Standard Version. At seeJesus Bob oversees the PrayerLife ministry. Bob’s greatest passion? “I've always wanted to see the church prioritize prayer, (with its study of the word) as the way she believes, gets her vision, and determines what she does next. There is vibrant life that comes from a praying and expectant church.” He also continues to serve as an Associate Pastor of Spring Valley Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Roselle, IL. He and his wife Helen have three children and live in the Chicago area. 

Drew Bennett

Drew lives in Winter Haven, FL with his wife, Ashley and their four children: Canaan, Isaac, Abigail, and Sarah. He is an Associate Pastor/Church-planting apprentice at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL where he is being trained for the purpose of planting a new church next fall in Winter Haven. Drew leads three Person of Jesus studies with both Christians and non-Christians attending.

Julie Courtney

After leading a Person of Jesus study with neighbors, Julie began to work part-time for seeJesus from her home in Northern Virginia. In 2004, she moved to the Philadelphia area, and began full-time work with the ministry: teaching, doing public relations, coordinating seminars and conferences, and training small group leaders. In her role as Director of Women’s Ministries Julie trains small group leaders, mentors women, and encourages them as they grow in their understanding of who Jesus is. Prior to working for seeJesus, Julie was a travel agent for twelve years.

Debbie Ellington

Debbie is a wife, mother of two, and a passionate advocate for the Church. She serves as Women’s Ministry Leader in her church, Damascus Road Community Church. Debbie has led six Person of Jesus studies and brought a number of people to faith in Jesus through these. Recently she traveled to Chile where she taught the Person of Jesus.
