Bob Loker grew up in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduating from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1960, Bob began a seventeen year career with the U. S. Government and was posted in embassies in Ecuador, Uruguay and Panama. He next served for three years as principal of a Christian school in Providence Forge, Virginia. He has recently retired after twenty years as president and co-owner of Shaia Oriental Rugs of Williamsburg, an oriental rug retail store.

Bob has been married to Becky, whom he met in high school, for 46 years. After retiring Bob and Becky moved to Purcellville, Virginia where they have joined St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Previously they were members of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Williamsburg. During most of that time Bob was a ruling elder and for ten years was on staff part time as Ministries Director and Coordinator for Small Group Ministries. The Lokers have known Paul Miller for over eleven years and have used seeJesus material extensively in retreats, adult education and small group studies.

Bob and Becky have three married daughters and nine grandchildren, all living close by in Maryland and Virginia.
